As we are counting the hours to enter into the New Year what are the feelings that are going in you.

Are you anxious about how things will change or take turn in your personal life, office atmosphere or in the country?

Are you trying hard to jot down the New Year Resolutions even though you know in the depth of your heart that you are not going to fulfill it till the end of the year?

Are you busy organising the  party and get together to welcome the new year with fun and laughter?

No matter what after the few hours of joy and excitement you will be forced to face the day as a normal day. Everything will remain the same and life is going to continue the same. Thinking of this reality may just pushes aside all the fun and joy and depress the heart.


But in the midst of all the old stuff still you can choose to not worry and be happy in the new year. All it needs is a little effort from your side.


  1. Stop thinking negative stuff. The mind is the key to emotions and feelings which in turn affect our behavior. So take all the effort to stop the negative thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts filled with hope. These thoughts bring in joy to the heart and motivates the self to persevere. 
  2. Take a resolution not to sit in the place of self pity and lick the wounds. Self pity will never take you anywhere. It will hold you captive to your negative emotions and keep you tied to depression. So decide and be aware not to end up in Self Pity. 
  3. Surround yourself with news and articles that brings hope and rings the sounds of motivation. Never keep reading depressing articles with negative reports not matter whether its politics, economy or climate. Keep reading stuff that helps you overcome these feelings. Read biographies and articles which speak of ways to overcome the difficult situations. 
  4. Find people who have a positive look to life and are fun to be around with. It means a lot. They just change the climate around you and help you to overcome the feelings of failure but help you to bounce back with a never give up attitude. 
These are a few tips to start with. As we ring in the new year hope and imagine a year that is going to be the best and blessed one.
